Lori Lucas holds a set of dog tags and a Marine Corps ring belonging to her husband Cpl. Rich Lucas. Lori has worn the tags around her neck since her husband was called to active duty in the Persian Gulf to support Operation Iraqi Freedom.

When Cpl. Lucas left New Jersey to serve with the 6th Motor Transport Battalion, his 20-year-old wife was 3-months pregnant. Because the couple did not know if they would be reunited before Lori gave birth, they were forced to decide on names prior to Cpl. Lucas' departure. They decided on Ryan Freedom, if they were to have a boy, or Faith if the child was a girl.
