Jason Towlen is a 1992 graduate of the School of Photographic Arts and Sciences at Rochester Institute of Technology in New York.

Jason is a multimedia journalist who specializes in both video and still photography. He is a creative visual artist, and a consummate professional.

With twenty years of newspaper photojournalism experience, Jason is adept at working under tight deadlines. He is a skilled news script writer and voiceover artist. He has covered numerous professional, college, and high school level sporting events; countless dignitaries, and in-depth picture stories grappling with issues such as drug abuse, AIDS, autism and teen pregnancy. He has traveled extensively, including assignments in Africa, Europe, Asia, and throughout the United States.

Jason's photographs have been broadcast by Dateline NBC and Larry King Live, and have been published by USA Today, The Boston Globe, The New York Times, The Washington Post, Time.com, MSNBC.com and Newsweek. His images have received awards from the Associated Press, the New Jersey Press Photographers Association, Print Magazine, the New Jersey Press Association and the Society for News Design. Jason was a contract photographer on the America 24/7 digital photography project. He proudly serves as a volunteer photographer for Operation Smile, a non-profit medical services organization based in Norfolk, Virginia.
